tasty colors

"Food should have color" that's what Biggest Loser's trainer Bob Harper said last week when he took the show's contestants to his house, and it kind of stuck with me because our meals have been a bit monochromatic lately. My excuse is that work has been very demanding, but truth is, I should be trying harder: drop the Bertolli, Inês!!! So, when I came across these colorful organically grown heirloom tomatoes at the Whole Foods store yesterday, I knew I could not pass on them.

They were the perfect call for our dinner tonight. After shamelessly overeating at a Brazilian Steakhouse last night we were in need of something light and fresh. So I made a simple salad with just a drizzle of Tuscan Italian Dressing and paired it with a Fresh Mozzarella, Prosciutto and Basil Panini . Light and fresh indeed, beautifully colored and absolutely delicious!
Heirloom Tomatoes: Cherokee Purple, Limmony and Brandywine.

  2. Cute little white rectangular plate! I am about 3 weeks behind on The Biggest Loser; but Bob *does* always say that about color!
