white fleeting joy

It doesn't happen often in the desert, but when it does, snow is received with much joy and excitement. Today was one of these special days when we get to wake up to a white world. Throughout the morning I enjoyed looking at friends pictures on facebook of streets, houses and yards covered with snow and big smiles of kids standing proudly by a snowman. I also took some of my own, including the one below, on the golf course behind our house. By the end of the day at least half of the snow had melted away and by tomorrow it will all be gone. Some things are not meant to last, they are only meant to be enjoyed, like this little and short treat from heaven that blessed me with joy today!
