The Reason for the Season!
A Christmas without Jesus is not a Christmas at all! This month we celebrate his birth and the greatest gift ever given to humanity: Salvation!
"Glory to God in the Highest, and on earth peace to men, on whom his favor rests" (Luke 2:14)
Merry Christmas!

Galatians 5:22-23
It is not easy to convey these qualities in everything we do. Speaking for myself, I am limited in some of them and lack others as well. This Bible verse shows us that we are not capable of producing them on our own: the only way to excel on them is to live a life by the Spirit. They are mere consequences of our walk with God and for this reason called "fruits" of the Spirit. The more we walk with with God, the more loving, joyful, kind, patient, faithful, good, gentle and self controled we become! Our focus should not to be a "good person" but a godly one!!!

James 1:17
I love this bible verse because it reminds me that everything I am and have come from God. One of my favorite songs by Matt Redman, 'Breathing the Breath" starts saying:
Our lives, natural talents, skills, possessions, personality are gifts from God and should be used not just for our own benefit but also for the betterment of the lives of others, and above all to the bring Glory to His Name.
"We have nothing to give that didn't first come from your hand,we have nothing to offer you which you did not provideEvery good and perfect gift comes your kind and gracious heartAnd all we do is give back to you what always has been yours"

Psalm 47:6
The true measure of a Christian is not his/her devotion to religion but his/her love for God. It is impossible to love God and not be excited about who He is, His Character, His Power and His unfailing Love. When we think about God's attributes we are motivated to praise Him and in doing so, we please Him. It is not the tune that God is looking for but the melody of a thankful and trusting heart. And so we sing!
